snaggletooth

So, Cooper has been walking around with a loose front tooth. On Saturday it was just hanging by a thread, and all of Todd's brothers were trying to pull it at the BYU game, making cooper very irritated! He promised Todd that he would let him pull it when they got home but, cooper was too tired. Sunday morning he was ready to go (especially for the money from the tooth fairy)

She's Here

I am writing this for Celeste, who has not jumped on the blogger bandwagon yet. She had her baby girl last night at 11:07pm. 6 pounds 13 ounces, 19 inches long. They named her Violet Marlo. We'll see them this weekend so I'll try to get pictures up next week. So, the real questions is, is Daren going to go to the opening BYU football game or stay with the kids?????? Don't disappoint me Daren!!!!

He's Gone

It is with mixed emotions that I write this post, Cooper has finally flown the coop (i couldn't resist) We've had drama with the bus situation... he now rides his bike with 2 friends to a new bus stop. He didn't get any new clothes, if fact this might be the same shirt he wore on the first day , last year! I am waiting for the stores to get restocked-I of course waited until the last moment and couldn't find anything decent. I will admit that I missed him yesterday, and thought to myself how I could ever have been annoyed with him or tired of his questions. It is much easier to be a calm loving mom when you don't see them for most of the day. I will also admit that I cried when I sent him on the bus yesterday. I realized that I had squandered my time with him and focused on getting out of my hair so much that I don't know if I taught him the important things. I felt much better when he came home and told me he missed me and had wanted to come home early. I guess I'm not as bad of a mom as I think.

Food Demo

Garden Tomato BLT
Okay, I've decided to try to spice up my blog, so I thought I'd do some cooking demos. As I was getting out the stuff for my tomato sandwich I thought I might as well take pictures (better to start out with something easy!) So here is my debut....
INGREDIENTSJust pretend that the bread is "Grandma's" not Wal Mart brand-it'll taste much better that wayPlease do not put salad dressing on this sandwich-you know what I'm talking about!

Shopping tip: Costco has the best price for cheese-it blows Wal Mart out of the pool!I added a bunch of other stuff but forgot to take the pictures-bear with me I'm new at this.

Yummy! (p.s. this is a bad angle for my face)

the birthday girl

I thought I better post a few birthday pictures of roxy. She apparently is going through a phase where she won't smile for the camera, so consequently I have many many pictures of her that look just like this...

by the way, this is the dress that she peed in, on the slide at Carl's JR while todd was watching all the kids. Not only has he never had to deal with a public pee situation, but, a little boy was trying to lick it up.. oh the joys!

I'm back

We are moved in!! Goodbye Utah County- hello Davis. It has been a CRAZY month, poor Todd, I've never seen him so tired and stressed, unfortunately it won't get any better because this weekend by college roomies are flying in for the weekend and he gets the kids. They are staying at our house which has really forced me to get the house put together. I will try to get some pictures up next week.
A quick shout out to my almost 3 year old, Roxy. On Friday she will probably get ignored (refer to the statement above) so I'll tell her happy b-day now. She has been a trial from the get -go (epideral didn't work) but whenever she laughs I forget about all the screaming, yelling, and crying she did beforehand.
