RANT

I just need to vent a little, so bear with me. todd is at the house working late today and I didn't want to cook dinner -and I had a Redbox DVD to take back- sooo, I asked the kids where they wanted to eat and they said-surprise- Mcdonalds. We get there and they run to the play place, while I order double cheeseburgers-no cheese pickle onion or mustard- a small fry and small drink. I sit down and open the food and there is cheese pickle onion and mustard! Of course no one would touch them so I took them back and -surprise- nobody still ate them ( actually cooper ate all his food- this rant excludes him-surprise, surprise) All roxy wanted to do is drink the pop and when I finally cut her off she yelled at me at the top of her lungs. Meanwhile Meg is climbing up the garbage can and sitting on it. At this point I packed up baby, grabbed my bag and started out the door-the kids caught on and ran after me. When I turned on the car blaring over the radio was the song "Are we having fun yet" We will not be visiting Mcdonalds any time soon-I'm going on strike. I 'm so tired of my kids behaving so badly in public and not appreciating anything!!!! I should of just cooked dinner!

Annie

I recorded the movie Annie the other day, and we finally got around to watching it today. Once the first musical number came on Roxy jumped up and went to find her dress so she could dance. She is just like Cherie was, anytime music starts playing she gets up and dances (though she hasn't found a good pair of white boots with fringe down them-remember those?) She was singing so loud that Meg kept having to turn up the volume and then finally just yelled at her to stop singing. the other day Roxy was singing and Cooper came up to me and whispered in my ear "Mom, Roxy is the worst singer in the world " I don't know if she has much of a chance- hopefully the Merrell blood doesn't take over, only our mom could enjoy the "singing" that occurred around the piano at FHE!!

Happy Easter

We had a great Easter weekend. Saturday we had the big Easter egg hunt at Grandma Greats, lots of cousins to play with. Saturday night Todd went to Wal Mart to buy the basket stuff. He came back with 3 bags full of stuff. Last year I think I only spent about $5!! While we were hiding the baskets Meg started coming up the stairs, I grabbed her and ran back down-thankfully she was half asleep. Cooper had told me the night before that he knew that the Easter Bunny was going to hide his basket really hard, so we found a hard spot-he couldn't find it so I had to lead him to it. on Saturday night roxy was getting out of the car and somehow fell. She landed right on her forehead and now has a huge bump and a cut under her nose. Great for pictures.

Okay here it goes-sorry for those who know me well it might be kinda boring.

1. I'm a Twilight series fan. I even went so far to go to the midnight book sale when Eclipse first came out. At least I wasn't dressed in a prom dress like all the other high school girls were, and while they were walking down the runway in a Belle look- a- like contest I let everyone around me know that I could of looked better in a prom dress.

2. I've been growing my hair out for almost 3 years now- its only a little past my shoulders.

3. I love to eat. I eat huge portions and can't stand to wait in line at potlucks. As soon a the prayer is said, I hurry and get in line, usually with the teenage boys. I never grab plates for my kids, just load mine and shout directions to Todd on what he should put on the kids plates.

4. I am a huge BYU fan. In college I would go to football games alone and sit by myself. I never missed a home game the whole time I was at BYU. This year I even got to talk to JT(jonathan tavernari) and touch his hand, unfortunately I was 8 months pregnant, unshowered, and had a bad case of pink eye.

5. I might be one of only ER fans left. I still never miss a show and make Todd sit through them with me. I even still lay in bed after and think about what is going to happen with the characters and make up new storylines for them.

6. I love to read the Ensign. there are few months that I don't read it cover to cover. Its very therapeutic for me, I bawl over almost every article.

7. I'm still gaga over my husband. I still look at him and think he is hot. I still call him at least 15 times a day, mostly with nothing to say. I'd rather be with him more than anyone else.

beat up

I am in the process of being beaten up by a 2 year old! I am trying to do some computer stuff and she wants to watch tv, all the other kids are playing with their cousin. She keeps hitting me with her fist and I have scratches all up my arm. She even grabbed me by the jugular and sqoze (is that a word?) I just keep laughing and typing, I probably should put her in time out but its been so funny. The kids just came in pretending to be bears and hunters and she keeps spitting at them and throwing punches. Now she is pleading with me "please please watch tv" Will I give in? Will throw her in her room? Tune in next time.

green day

My kids get so excited for St. Patrick's Day. todd started the tradition of making green pancakes and green orange juice, so when I got up Monday they already had the orange juice out waiting for me. We actually had a false start- last week I thought it was Green Day so last Sunday night the kids got on their green pajamas and green underwear and layed out their green clothes for the next day. It wasn't until about 20 minutes after I put them to bed that I looked at the calendar and realized I was a week ahead. so, I went downstairs and told them the bad news! They are taking the pinching part very seriously. Cooper and Roxy woke up first and when Meg woke up later, before she ever made it up the stairs, Cooper announced to her that she didn't have to pinch Roxy because he had already done it! Even Camilla almost got pinched!!

Tree fall down

We put cooper in a basketball clinic. todd had to take all the kids while I got a facial, manicure, and pedicure-what a great day!

Roxy is crazy about dresses. Last week she wore the same sundress everyday. Saturday I came inside and she was wearing this-Camilla's dress!

Only my sisters will get the title. My cousin kim loved to watch a video we took of one of our trees being cut down. She would shout "tree fall down" over and over. We pruned trees this weekend, well todd and some bro-in-law pruned, I picked up branches-lots of them! todd decided while he was out there he might as well cut down some bothersome cotton trees. I grabbed the camera and taped. the tree fell the wrong way-thats why I started taping the ground- if you listen you can hear todd telling me to go get the neighbor's number ( the tree fell on his property). There are still a ton more branches to pick up. yikes!

I feel old

So, I've been playing volleyball at the Stake Center for a couple of months. A couple of the girls started a team to play in the Orem league and asked me to join. Last night we has our first 2 games. The first game we got creamed and the second we won. By the end of the second game my legs were quivering and I wasn't sure if I could raise my arms to serve anymore! My knees hurt from diving, my back hurt from spiking, and my bum hurt because I fell flat on it while trying to get a ball! The whole family came to cheer my on-only they were too busy running around (I did see camilla waving her arms-with todd's help). On the way home Todd asked if I had fun. "Yes." He replied with, "next time you need to jump more!" Thanks Honey!!

Another House Update

They have started the framing. It's funny how things get smaller when they frame it in. The framers think it should only take about three weeks. That seems like a lot faster than the month in a half it took me to frame our last house. Enjoy the Pics.

I thought I write just a few things that have happened this week.
ME- bladder infection
TODD-bought the kids 2 new DS games which forced them to eat their cauliflower at dinner!
COOPER- threw a hysterical fit because he had a sore throat and had to stay home from school therefore missing a days worth of new info about St. Patrick's Day.
MEG-only told me she hated me 2 times! Roxy got it once. She also read a story with almost no help(this coming from a girl who didn't know her alphabet at the beginning of the year)
ROXY-peed on her little potty once. ate a sleeve of Ritz crackers in less than a day.

So, I had Amber get on my blog to show her my hilarious new poll and she reads it aloud to me, "do your like music" . Oh boy what an idiot. We had a good laugh about that one. then she proceeds to tell me that I've mispelled chronicles too. why didn't anyone tell me-why didn't I spellcheck? So, I go in to edit the poll and I can't because someone already voted! My shame is left for everyone to see.

I saw this interesting new page element and decided to let you, the viewers, put your mark on my blog. I tried to think of a provacative question to poll yall with. I'll be waiting on pins and needles for the poll to close.

Its here, high speed internet now graces my computer! The pressure is really on, I now must combine text with equally good pictures. The problem I'm finding is that there are not a lot of good pictures of my family. I mean millions of people could potentially view this blog- my kids (and especially me) need to be up to par. So, here are a few pictures.

This picture didn't go where I wanted it to. I guess I have a few more kinks to work out, now I just look like a fool.
