Que's Blessing

Since my entire was in Utah, we decided to bless Que. It was Conference weekend so we ended up blessing him at our house. Todd did a great job and we chowed down on hawaiian haystacks. Fun, fun weekend! Que's namesake, Grandpa Que Steele
We girls hadn't all be together in a while so we thought we ought to document it.
Here's the blessing boy in all his glory, baby pimples and all!

wyoming

This year for the Merrell Family reunion we went to Wyoming. I know what you are thinking why would anyone go to Wyoming for a reunion. It is because Sean and I had strategically planned it. First we drew a Wyoming deer and antelope tag. Both hunts overlapped each other so we planned to spend the first part of October there. Then Sean found a wonderful place to stay through one of his friend from Moses Lake. Morgan Heaps in laws have a house that they rent out to people interested in working on a cattle ranch. So Sean rented the house and invited everyone to come. What an idea. We can hunt and our wives can spend time with all of their family. (we didn't factor into taking care of the kids) That was our mistake. Next time we need to find somebody that wants to take care of all the kids. Any one interested?
This is a picture of Seans deer and most of the kids that were there. Its hard to believe that all these kids come from only three of the five Merrell Girls. There is 14 in all. Wow it is sure hard to have a good time when we all get together because at all times at least one is crying or stinky. In Wyoming it was wonderful because it seemed like there was so much room for all the kids to go.

Sean and I went antelope hunting It was a success. I didn't put a picture of Sean's because it was bigger. This is the way to hunt. Drive around in an air conditioned truck find the antelope and if you don't like what you see in the first spot. Drive two more minutes until you find another group and try to find the one you like. After you decide on which to shoot the hunt is on. I shot this one at 180 yards. Sean was about one mile away in my truck pushing them my way. I was waiting for them to make it too me without them smelling or spotting me. They can see for miles and can smell that far as well.

budding photographers

So Roxy and Camilla found Todd's camera and took a Whole Lotta pictures. It's pretty funny to see what they "see" through the lens. I actually took this one a week ago, just thought I'd throw it in.
ingenious camera maneuvering

this is a very important photo of me- chronicling what I do with most of my time -talking on the phone while walking around the house. ha ha

This is a very important photo of Camilla, chronicling what she does most of the day- unfortunately, there is no picture of eating it

So happy

what did they do to make him cry?!!

Camilla's mac n' cheese- very modern
She's been caught doing more of her vices-she holds on to her spoon while shoving food in with her hands. Thankfully, there are no pictures of her biting her toenails.

This one took me a moment to figure out-roxy's gum!
I call this Cereal on Ottoman. Who the heck keeps eating in the family room- I've told them a thousand times!!!

Beautiful

projects

Here are my 2 new endtables. I got both of them at garage sales for $5 each. A little paint and sanding and wa-la. I got the lamps at garage sales too. This one for $1, the shade (thanks jenica) for 25 cents, a little black spray paint, wa-la, a funky lamp.

Amber gave me this idea. It's just ribbon wrapped around the lamp shade. I've had this lamp laying around for a few years. It was just a pewter color with a white shade. I used some spray paint I had in the garage and wa-la, something new.

Que's stats

I took Que in for his 4 month checkup. Wow, I can't believe how fast time is flying, and yes, it's me Tiffany, you know-the one who started this blog. I appreciate Todd stepping in for me, for some reason I am having a hard time finding time to sit at the computer and write witty blogs. In fact, I am currently writing this at the dinner table, Todd isn't here for dinner so I am neglecting my motherly duties and letting my kids eat their shredded roast beef tacos with zucchini bread (fresh out of the oven, I might add) while watching the Brady Bunch. Any who, back to the subject of this blog. Que is a chub! You wouldn't know it because there have been no pictures of him, so just trust me. (By the way, I left my camera in WA, hence no pictures). Here are his stats
Weight 17 lbs 1.5 oz 88%
Height 27" 97%
Head 17" 74%

Football

Cooper is now in football. It is crazy to think that he is old enough to play. Where we live they have a very good football team. It is Davis High School. I think they were second at state last year. They start the kids out very young and if you are not the most talented person around if you don't start out this early the is no chance of playing. So this year he wanted to play. He is one of the biggest kids on his team and unfortunately one of the slowest. So he is a lineman. He is starting to understand the game. His team is 2-1 they lost the first game to bear river, but since then they have done good. They just needed to get out the wrinkles.
Look at that stance. Such good looking form.

That time of year

Well once again it falls on me to update the blog. Tiff has been so busy with school starting, Piano starting, preschool starting, Football, and trying to keep all the kids away from poor Que.
As you can see from the picture school has started and unfortuantly this is the third day of school we forgot to take the picture on the first day. Cooper is in Third grade and he is now playing football he loves the thought of it. I don't think he understands everything yet but he is having fun. He is also doing Piano again.
Meg is in second grade and loves it. She is also doing piano. We are trying to find something for her to do because Cooper is always playing some kind of sport. We need to find some way to channel all of her energy.
Roxy is in preschool
Camilla is at home
Everything else is going good.
