House stuff

Sean wanted to see more so he can go cry in his pillow tonight, because his house is moving a slugs pace. Here you go-make sure you grab some tissues-who knows when amber will wash the pillowcases!!!

This was a mistake, and I couldn't figure out how to delete it, so I made it very small. Maybe I shouldn't have written so much about it and no one would have noticed it!

this is the pantry(again, this is for sean, most of you won't be interested, its just a pantry)
This is the master closet(more of your ears are perking up now)

by the way that sweet music in the background was the painters choice-yes, they are caulking!

More house

Here is the rest of the upstairs. Not much to see yet. It's going faster than we expected so we are thinking if this keeps up we might be in by late July early August. Wow, I'm running out of time- I've got a ton of things I still need to buy. I'll get some video of the basement in a week or so.

house update

Todd is very busy finishing up the finish work. Unfortunately, that means he will be doing tile and hardwood next-no break. After that he will get a well deserved break while the painter does his thing. The siding on the outside is almost done, then they will be painting that. I have finally decided on a color, Tavern Taupe-yikes what pressure!! Here is a little video of part of the house. More to come later. P.S. We had a great Book Club "meeting" at the Olive Garden last night. Always a night full of laughs(and a few snorts), lots of yummy food, great discussions, and even food in our teeth! Our next book we are reading is The Host, by Stephenie Meyer-I'm so excited to read it!!!

My loot

Today was a great day for garage sales! I ran out of money and had to borrow from cooper's wallet. I hit a great sale that had tons of kids toys-good classic ones in great shape and already in containers. My favorite was a wooden doll house and a box full of wooden furniture! so many cute accessories. I got a ton of picture frames (one of the things on my "list") a nice umbrella stroller and some cute vinyl sticker sayings for only $1. they say "my spirit was born in the courts on high, a child of God, a princess am I" and "in every little boy lies a king." I had never heard those before! I'll be riding my garage sale "high" for the rest of the day. Tune in next week for more treasures.
Yesterday, Meg got her Kindergarten shots!!!! All through the week I tried to prepare her for what it would feel like by giving her pinches. I know that sounds mean but she would ask me " mom what's it going to feel like again?" I told her I wouldn't hurt much more than that. Well, apparently 5 shots in the arm does hurt more than a few pinches. She was very brave and only started crying after the first 2. She asked me not to tell Cooper she cried-he didn't cry through his- but she ended up telling him anyway. I read once that redheads are more sensitive to pain, I'm starting to believe it, she cried and complained all night about her shots hurting. Just a few minutes ago she declared that they didn't hurt anymore. In weight Meg was in the 21% and in height she was 11% Yikes, she's smaller than I thought

A few things

This is my nephew Kade and Camilla. She is now sitting up-kind of- she still falls over a lot. Notice the chubby legs!!
A few funny sayings around the house this week.

While I was cooking dinner Meg asked if I wanted to play house.
Meg-"mom, you be the grandma and Im your granddaughter, I live with you because my mom is in jail"
Me-"Why is your mom in jail?"
Meg- "She was speeding"

Meg and Roxy were playing in their clubhouse.
Roxy- "mom" (talking to meg)
Meg- "roxy Im sister now, our mom and dad are dead"
Roxy- "why"
Meg- "They were speeding"

I dont remember lecturing the kids on speeding-wearing seat belts, yes- but not speeding. Who knows were she got all that from. I guess I better be very careful about my driving!!

Cooper and the kids were writing a sign for their clubhouse.
Cooper-" mom, how do you spell dot com?"

crazy hair day

Here are some pictures from our family cookout on Friday. We built a fire in the garden and roasted weenies and ate smores. I also discovered that Roxy is a "fire girl" she is one of those kids that can't stay away from the fire-always poking sticks in it or throwing things in it to burn. Im really going to have to watch her!

today at Meg's preschool it was "crazy hair day". I asked her if she wanted lots of ponytails or to blow out her hair all wild (she did say she wanted to look like Vivian's-the one on Ambers blog) She finally decided that it would be more crazy if her hair was straight. so I round brushed it, and it looked cute!
Also, there is a really fun website(former blog) called thepioneerwoman.com that Im addicted to (so is todd). You all should check it out and read the "love story" of her and her husband-you wont be disappointed!!

booger

Is it so wrong of me to pick my baby's booger that had been eluding me all day, while she was screaming in the mother's lounge? Well I did it-heck, she was already crying!
