Baby Shower, Meg is Singing

This morning while in the shower Camilla was sitting in her pjs watching me, I washed out my hair and as I opened my eyes I looked down and gasped. There was Camilla mid crawl in the shower with me. She didn't move a muscle for about a minute-she knew she'd been caught! Then she crawled to the end and would not look at me. I bent down and called her name, she looked quickly, smiled then hurried and put her head down again.

Meg had her Christmas recital today. She dressed up in one of her fanciest dresses (thanks Gayla) and sung her heart out (not really). Everytime she looked over at us she would stop singing and act like she was all embarrassed! They sang lots of songs and they all knew the words and sang loud-I was very impressed.

The Bird

Enjoy this picture
So the other night Tiff and I were doing our usual three hours of TV watching without any kids bugging us. ( for those who don't know we put our kids to bed at 7:00 so that we don't kill them) we were right in the middle of one of our many shows when Cooper comes upstairs with a look of despair. I immediately told him to go back to bed without hearing what was wrong, but Tiff the loving mother that she is could tell that something was troubling the poor guy. She proceeded to ask what was wrong, as he burst into tears to tell us what was wrong I almost busted out laughing. I guess that some of his friends told him that if you put your middle finger up in the air it is very bad. So as he was laying in bed that night the temptation to FLIP THE BIRD overwhelmed him and he decided to try it. The guild and remorse that followed that gesture might have scarred him for a lifetime. Don't we all wish that we were still seven and things like that troubled us.

A Child's Prayer

This was in Cooper's prayer tonight

"please bless the sick and the poor, but most people know them as hobos"

I had to fight to keep from laughing, though when he finished and I looked at him I busted out. He is such a sweet boy, that movie Kit Kitridge really got him thinking!

This is for everyone

I started a recipe blog (original, I know). I want everyone who reads my blog to contribute to it so we all have lots of good recipes to choose from, not just mine. If you want to contribute send me your email in the "comment" section. If any of you have any other ideas let me know. www.justanotherrecipeblog.blogspot.com

There She Goes

Camilla is officially walking everywhere now. She has given up on crawling and now teeters throughout the house. She already has a black eye from falling on the coffee table and I think that her thighs have shed a few pounds because her jeans aren't nearly as tight as they use to be. There's nothing better than seeing a miniature person walking around the house.

Birthday Boy

Today is Cooper's 7th birthday. It seems crazy to me that he could possibly be this old, but yet it feels like a lifetime at the same time-does that make any sense. We had a friends party on Saturday-eating pizza, playing the Wii, and eating grasshopper pie. It was super low stress and they all had fun, and best of all NO GOODIE BAGS!! I hate doing those things I know the kids love them but what a pain in the BUTT!
Here are just 7 things I love about Cooper
1. He OBEYS! I can make him do anything-thank heavens I at least got one of those kinds of kids.
2. He can get excited about anything and everything.
3. He loves sports and is always asking me my opinion about what teams he should like.
4. His mind is always working. He's always thinking about something, and most likely going to ask me many, many questions about it.
5. He has Todd's hair, wirely thick hair that not matter what you do to it will never stand up spikey.
6. He is sensitive. He thinks about others and prays that all the poor people will find food and enough money.
7. He is goofy and thinks he is hilarious ( the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!) He's the first to try to make anyone laugh with an assault of arm farts and burbs.the boys spent most of lunch burbing-oh joy!

I realized that I had forgotten candles so we had 5, 1,1 =7

World's Ugliest Christmas Tree

For FHE we got out the boxes pulled out the Christmas stuff and decorated (if you can call it that) the tree. We inherited this tree from my mother-in-laws wedding business and have vowed every year to get a nice new one after the holidays (on sale) HASN'T HAPPENED! We have also vowed to throw away the so-called ornaments and replace them with new, matching, theme oriented ones. HASN'T HAPPENED! So, now we are once again stuck with a tree Charlie Brown wouldn't even claim, worst of all its displayed front and center in the living room window for all to see.
PS we ran out of lights therefore they only go 3/4 of the way up and Camilla has already pulled off all the ornaments within her reach, hence the bottom half being undecorated.
